I
may have mentioned it before, but I love having a daily calendar. There’s
something about tearing off the page each day to see what’s revealed that never
gets old. This year, I have a Joy of
Cooking daily calendar, and I’ve been having lots of fun trying the
recipes.
Last
week I made one of its recipes, Louisiana Court Bouillon, which is a spicy fish
and shrimp soup. It is a tomato-based soup, with hot pepper sauce added for
kick and Worcestershire sauce for flavor. I used shrimp and swai (a mild white
fish), but you could substitute whatever seafood you like.
Just
stir in some cooked rice, and you’ve got a quick, hearty, healthy dinner. If
you’d like the printable recipe, just go here.
