I've been really drawn to red lately (if you can't tell). I think it's the weather--red looks warm, which is comforting since it's started to feel a bit chilly. Or maybe it's just because it's just starting to be sweater weather, and I happen to own two red sweaters. I love how this saturated, bright red can brighten up a neutral look. I had a gray cardigan on before, and it just felt like something was missing. I now realize that something was color! Apparently my face is embracing red as well--I'm not sure if it's the sweater or what but it looks more flushed than normal.
While we're on the subject of fall (or at least we were), I have a confession to make. I don't want a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I'm sure they've been around for a while, but I've heard so much about them this year that I was starting to worry that there was something wrong with me because I didn't want one. Am I missing some Pumpkin Latte gene? Other than as decoration, I'm not much of a pumpkin lover. I feel like I'm insulting fall in some way by admitting this. Whew, I had to get that off my chest. I feel so much better now.
Final thought: this does not mean that I don't find other high calorie ways to enjoy fall. Toffee Mocha anyone? Or a steamy cup of rich hot chocolate (Maybe with a splash of Baileys. Just maybe.)? Fall, I hope that means we can still be friends.

LOL I'm so with you on the pumpkin! I LOVE pumpkin but I can't take the idea of mixing my beloved coffee with ANY fruit or vegetable! (Remember blueberry coffee at DD?! so wrong!)

ReplyDeleteOh Shea, I understand the red thing. I was composing a post in my head this morning about how I'm enjoying red again after a long hiatus blah blah blah. Yes to red. As for the psl, I'm a big fan for 2 cups then I'm done and ready to move on the the gingerbread. Maybe the creme brulee or peppermint mocha is your thing. Happy weekend :) Lili, my daughter, says hi. She likes your blog.
ReplyDeleteLove the red. I like the Pumpkin Spice Latte, but only because I worked at Starbucks so I had to try it. Before I tried it I was convinced it would be the most disgusting thing ever. But honestly I prefer my coffee sans sugar or syrup, maybe a drizzle of honey on occasion.
ReplyDeleteI think Fall will forgive you though.
I love the shape of this sweater, and the whole look is exactly how I want to dress for the season. If only it would get lower than the 80's down here!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this outfit - LOVE it!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL I don't like Pumpkin lattes either. Pumpkin is to be eaten in the form of pie. Period.
