Comfortable and So Broken In
Usually comfort only plays a supporting role in my sartorial selections. However, this week I've spent the majority of my week in elementary schools. If that won't convince you to dress comfortably, I don't know what will. In an elementary school, you have to be on your feet (both literally and figuratively) all day. So today, the fashion-y outfit complete with heels lost its battle to soft corduroys and a cozy sweater. And as I tried to keep up with fourth graders all day, I didn't regret my decision for a minute. Do you dress for comfort or are you content to suffer for fashion? Or does it depend on what you're doing?

Hey I love this outfit. The scarf is awesome. As for me, I almost always dress for comfort...I know it may not seem like it...but I have to be comfortable! Though I suppose it is sort of an 80% rule...at LEAST 80% comfortable. I find it's all about the undergarments!

Love this little outfit...the scarf looks cozy too......I dress for both....most of what I wear is very comfy...I know Ill be in it for ohhh, about 10 hours a day!! hahaha:)
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit! For me confort is essential: I like fashion, dresses, but I use flat shoes!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cozy, but still chic. I dress for comfort most of the time, because if I don't feel comfortable than I think it doesn't look as good because of how I feel. Does that make sense?
ReplyDeletei taught in english in korea and its not quite the same as teaching in an elementary school i know what you mean. i was always so tired at the end of the work day...i always wore flats!
ReplyDeleteI love that kind of shoes you're wearing here! They're stylish and comfy (^_^)

I am all about being comfortable! That scarf is a beautiful color. :)
ReplyDeleteI suffer, I'm hardcore like that!
ReplyDeleteYou sure have a fabulous scarf collection lady!
ReplyDeleteI love it - I dress depending on situation. It seemed I suffered a lot more when I was working and had to look professional all the time. Now, well with a 2 year old, comfort (and machine washability) are top priority - LOL! By the way you are convincing me that some oxfords may be in my future - you wear them so well!
ReplyDeleteIf you are spending time in the classroom? COMFORT! As much as I love clothes and heels, I would never sabotage myself at school. Elementary school kids always have jam hands. No one wants to find unidentified finger prints on the back of an adorable vintage pencil skirt. I am a high school photo teacher, working with chemicals all day. NO thanks!
ReplyDeleteAnd heels? Please. I don't need to impress a bunch of kids, they don't care what I'm wearing anyways.
