I love the way these pictures turned out today! The colors are so vibrant. I wonder if it is the lighting, or the time of day. Or maybe I’m especially radiant today. It must be that. But seriously, Aaron and I are both pretty clueless about photography, so I don’t really know what lighting works best for photos. For us, it’s pretty much trial and error. Also, usually there’s only one time during the day that works for both of us (after work), so we just make do with the lighting and settings that are available. This summer, I hope to vary the location of the shots a little more. It’s so difficult during the school year—we’re both too busy to meander any further than our own yard for pictures.
For this look, I was inspired by this look by Diane Kruger (on Frugal-fashionistas.com). I love her bright cardigan, and I love how she wore it buttoned up and tucked in. I changed up the color scheme a little, and I'm quite happy with the sorbet-like result. If only I had an awesome straw fedora like hers, but I rarely buy hats. I've been tempted by the Eugenia Kim for Target line, but haven't made the commitment just yet.
